Shelf Sort Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Shelf Sort ("the game") is made by Digital Commerce Lab ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses and why.

Information you give us

None. The game has no accounts, no sign in, no chat and nothing to type in. We never ask for your name, email, phone number or location.

Information stored on your device

Your game progress (levels reached, stars, coins, lives, boosters and settings) is saved only on your device. We do not receive it. Uninstalling the game deletes it. If you use Android backup, Google may back up this data to your Google account under Google's own terms.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process information from your device, such as your device's advertising ID and app set ID, your IP address (which can be used to estimate your general location), device and app performance information (including crash and diagnostic data), and how you interact with ads. Google acts under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings, then Google, then Ads, or Privacy, then Ads, depending on your phone).

We ask Google to show only ads rated suitable for general audiences with parental guidance (PG).

Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To understand how the game is played and improve it, Shelf Sort uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service of Google LLC. It collects anonymous gameplay events (for example a level started, completed or failed, a booster used or an ad watched), the screens you open, an app instance ID (a random number for this installation of the game), and device information such as model, operating system, language and approximate location derived from your IP address. We never log your name, email address or anything you type. We use this information only in summarised form, for example to see how many players come back the next day or how hard a level is.

Google processes this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics follows the choice you make in the consent form; without your consent, no app instance ID is stored and only anonymous counts are sent.

Consent in Europe and the UK

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the game shows Google's consent form before personalized ads are used. You can change your choice at any time in the game's Settings under "Privacy choices".

Children

The game is rated for everyone and has no chat, no accounts and no way to share personal information. It is not directed primarily at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from Google (AdMob and Firebase) as described above, we do not share information with anyone.

Security

Information sent to Google for ads and analytics is encrypted in transit.

Your choices and deleting data

You can delete all game data at any time by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the game. For information held by Google, use the controls in your Google account and Android settings. You can also contact us with any request about your data and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
